A NOTE FROM YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

I was always the one on family vacations with a camera in hand. My Dad bought a DSLR camera when I was in high school and I was immediately hooked - photographing personal memories, college graduation photos and sweet moments for family and friends over the years. When my now husband (Jack) and I got engaged in 2021, I was SO inspired by our wedding photographer who captured us perfectly. I realized I also had an opportunity to share the joy photography brought me with others and decided to turn what was once a hobby into something more.

I live in New York City and feel extra grateful to call this city home. You can find me on long Central Park walks with Jack and my dog, Buco, cozy at home enjoying a glass of wine on the roof, or trying a new restaurant for date night in the City. Prioritizing mental and physical wellbeing is very important to me - I am a frequent soulcycle rider and enjoy doing pilates.

What I love most about photography is how it lets you hold on to a moment—whether it’s a person, a place, or just a feeling. It’s like a little time machine that brings you back and lets you relive the emotions all over again. Photography brings me so much joy, and I’ve found real purpose in capturing those meaningful moments for other people, too. I kept hearing this quiet little voice nudging me to go for it, and I’m so glad I listened. Starting Nicole O’Connor Photography has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.

I am drawn to the quiet moments - the soft smiles, loving glances, the in-between expressions that hold real emotion. My photography style is warm and natural, with a focus on capturing genuine connection in a timeless way. I am incredibly detail-oriented, always looking for the subtle elements that make a photo feel personal and honest.
